When you are battling a storm�…
…look for Jesus in it. He's there somewhere, and if you can tear your eyes off the waves, you'll spot Him coming to your aid.
…worship Him as Master of the Sea.
If all you look at is the storm, it becomes your focus, the thing of utmost
importance to your mind.
But if you worship Him as God, you will find that God
does indeed dwell in the praises of His people.
…do what Jesus says even if He commands you to get out of your safety zone, leave your security, and walk on the water. If He says you can do it, do it.
. . .keep Jesus in your vision. No matter
how big the problems are that are approaching you, no matter how threatening
they appear,
keep Him in your sight. If a problem temporarily eclipses Him from
view, don't assume that He's abandoned you. He's still there - even when you
can't see Him.
. . .if you get into waters over your head, call for Jesus' help. He'll be there.
. . .walk with His hand in yours. Cling to Him. He's promised to never leave or forsake you. He understands storms and how to deal with them.
. . .when He is walking with you, impossible feats
are suddenly possible; but don't forget that it isn't you, your righteousness,
your faith,
or anything else about you that makes them possible-it's only the
saving grace of Jesus.
. . .expect that He'll bring peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. When you invite Him to reign in your life, He automatically brings peace.
GOD HEARS YOUR CALL
(Psalms 5:1-3 NKJV) Give ear to my words, O LORD, Consider my
meditation. {2} Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You
I will pray. {3} My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning
I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
(Psalms 50:15 NKJV) Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and
you shall glorify Me."
(Psalms 91:14-16 NKJV) "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I
will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. {15} He
shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will
deliver him and honor him. {16} With long life I will satisfy him, And show him
My salvation."
(Psalms 145:18-20 NKJV) The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who
call upon Him in truth. {19} He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them. {20} The LORD preserves all who love
Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.
(Isaiah 41:17 NKJV) "The poor and needy seek water, but there is none,
Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of
Israel, will not forsake them.
(Isaiah 55:1-3 NKJV) "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you
who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money
and without price. {2} Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your
wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance. {3} Incline your ear, and come to
Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with
you; The sure mercies of David.
(Isaiah 65:24 NKJV) "It shall come to pass That before they call, I will
answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.
(Jeremiah 29:11-13 NKJV) For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says
the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
{12} Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
{13} And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your
heart.
(Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV) 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and
mighty things, which you do not know.'
(Hosea 2:19-21 NKJV) "I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth
you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy; {20} I will
betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the LORD. {21} "It

(Micah 7:7 NKJV) Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of
my salvation; My God will hear me.
(Romans 10:10-13 NKJV) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. {11} For the Scripture says,
"Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." {12} For there is
no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all
who call upon Him. {13} For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be
saved."
(Revelation 22:17 NKJV) And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And
let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever
desires, let him take the water of life freely.
